Melissa came to me when she wanted to decorate her entire townhome. She had recently moved to Ottawa and wanted someone to create a cozy, colourful home for her to enjoy in her down time.

I was inspired by Melissa’s great personality and her love of colour. By keeping the larger pieces neutral I was able to inject a ton of colour and pattern in the accent pieces. Check out the makeover below!

The great room is seen from the front door and needed to set the tone for the feel of the house.

The fireplace wall and dining room wall were painted in a dark grey blue, grounding the open space.

This rug contained all the colours my client loved and was the inspiration for the pops of colour for the entire home.

Melissa wanted seating for at least six people around the dining table.

The clear chairs and bench were used to maximize the space in the narrow dining area.

This was a catch all room that my client wanted to make into a guest room/office.

With the addition of a futon and a beautiful desk, this room was transformed.

The art piece was added to bring texture and colour into this room.

The master bedroom was in great need of a makeover.

Every piece in this room was updated with colour and texture.

Melissa loves her new colourful home and so do I!
